When you mention film Industries like Hollywood and Bollywood, filmmakers can create or produce a great scene and movie no matter the difficulty entailed due to the great budgets and resources they set for their film projects.
Well that is a little different in the Ugandan movie industry because of the financial constraints entailed in production of the some scenes and movies but that hasn’t stopped Ugandan filmmakers from dreaming and making great movies that can compete with others produced from other movie industries.
On the night of Sunday 31st December 2017, as many people were ushering in a new year 2018, Ugandan filmmakers lead by Director Kizito Samuel Saviour and his team of cinematographers Mubiru Hamza and Mubiru Swaif, sound recordist Bob Robert Agaba, production designer Imran Musabbeh, costumes Personnel Nodryn Evanci and actress Sharon Atuhaire started making/shooting their new movie titled Luciana where the scene has Luciana watching fireworks for the first time coming off various buildings in Kampala fireworks being shot in the sky as the country celebrated the new year.
This movie shoot was a little different from the other movies because the Uganda Police was at the filming location so as to provide security and ensure firework guidelines were followed making them the first group of Ugandan filmmakers to do such a scene in the history of Ugandan film making.
The shooting of this movie is expected to run the entire January in Kampala and Gayaza environments. We will keep you updated on the movie developments.
