As all have heard that the Tarrus Riley Concert slated for next month is no more because of financial issues and more. The Jamaican reggae singer has come out and issued his dissatisfaction with the event organisers as he made comments about his cancelled Kampala Concert which was scheduled to take place at Lugogo Cricket Oval on 1st December, 2017.
Though the event organisers Redfog events and Bolt Agency have not made an official statement on whether the show had been canceled and what caused for its cancellation, social media over the weekend was washed with the news of the concert cancellation and some reggea fanatics throwing harsh comments on the singers social media pages.
Tarrus Riley through his Facebook page, the singer said it was not his doing that led to the cancellation but the promoters (Red Fog and Bolt Agency) were responsible for that. He said
“It is amazing how quickly we as black brothers and sisters tend to speak badly of each other without getting all the facts, I have waited my entire career and it was like a dream come true to play in Kampala, Uganda. My team has held this date for over three months only to receive an email from the promoters of the event two days ago which stated “Unfortunately, due to events beyond my control, our exclusive sponsor for the event, notified me only last week that they would not be fulfilling their contractual obligations…Due to this situation I am asking that we reschedule for a time when I am able to generate capital and secure a diversified sponsor base to make the concert happen.” My team and I are VERY disappointed but this is no fault of mine,”
