Swangz Avenue’s Vinka Embroiled In Song Theft


We are sure all of you have listened to Swangz Avenue’s signee Vinka’s song Malaika which was released a few weeks back.

News making rounds is that Vinka’s Malaika’s song was stolen from Leone Island’s singer Lovence. Lovence who confined in Galaxy FM’s Jonathan Nalebo, said that his Malaika song was released last year in December but shot the video to the song in July this year because he lacked money to push it much faster than Vinka who has better management.

Vinka’s song was written by talented songwriter Oman Rafiki and production done by multi award winning producer Nessim.

Speaking on phone, Vinka asserted that she has never heard of Lovence, her song was written by Oman Rafiki and produced by Nessim. She also said she has not heard his song yet when it was played for her she said that he is lying because Oman Rafiki is talented song writer who could not steal someone’s song.

Before calling Lovence, Deejay Nimrod, checked for both videos and provided statistics, he said Vinka’s version was released a month ago(October) while Lovence’s version was released 6 days ago (citation from date of publishing this story). Deejay Nimrod while making conclusion he asked who was a fraud among the two.

Lovence also spoke on phone and said these established artists usually get songs from upcoming acts and twist them to best suit them. He further said he recorded his version in December, he wrote the song himself and was produced by Masterboy. He also said that Vinka’s crew listened to the song and they decided to shoot the video quickly. When asked why he delayed to release the video of the song he said he lacked money to shoot the video.
