Ugandan singer and Member of Parliament Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine on Monday met with American rapper French Montana in New York, USA and discussed many matters concerning health and more.
Bobi Wine left the country for the US to attend the Global Citizens Week which takes place every year at the United Nations General Assembly.
Global Citizens Week brings top icons to speak about health,education and other poverty issues hence Bobi Wine meeting French Montana where they pledged to improve the health sector in Uganda.
Bobi Wine, who spoke at the event, talked about the issue of healthcare and urged governments to increase government funding towards their citizens’ healthcare.
French Montana recently called upon Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and the Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga via social media (Twitter) to increase the country’s health budget by 15%.
Montana while in the country visited Suubi Health Centre, Iganga district and donated $100,000 (about Ush 360,000,0000) to expand the health centre.
